„....Even days later we still were enthusiastic about the tenderness of the beef from the strictly biologically grown-up cattle standing in Blauenthal.
...steaks prepared in 15 different ways...i.e. with a delicious homemade green butter, potatoes, completed with a cottage cheese with herbs, that smells as if prepared by your own mother. Or you choose à la parisienne, going with Rösti and a creamy peppersauce.Both dishes: a real pleasure. Naturally you also may order trout in the „Forelle“. They are being prepared in eleven different ways. Some well-known recipes, but mostly new and interesting ones....
.....guests shall have the feeling as if time had stopped in 1920, without resigning on todays comfort. There is furniture, tapestry and wallpapers out of granny’s days: flowery patterns, striped dessins, curtains, bedcloths and covers with roses on skyblue, dark sand and delicate reedgreen. Suitable and decent is the furniture. The beds, the writingplaces, the cupboards. Each room is decorated in an own way, has ist own colour, which is repeated even in the colour of the toiletseats. (Here) the guests undertake a journey back into former times, when in Europe the lady of the housedold was the „Gnädige“ and her husband was her „Gemahl“. Wasn’t this a really good time!

..beyond that, the hotel „Forelle“ with its ten comfortably furnished rooms, decorated in Laura-Ashley-style, is a real pleasure to look at, an ideal start for long and wonderful tours through the Erzgebirge. „In the first place we are a house for individualists , especially ones with a sense for romanticism, seeking silence and relaxation in between a wonderful and healthy nature“, Mrs. Toelle is characterising her hotel, which was reopened after tremendous reconstructoral works in the year 1995. The routes for wandering by foot or by ski, begin just in front of the hotel and they are running through the whole Auersberg region, to the large drinkwater reservoirs at Eibenstock and Sosa, following the clear creeks. In the near you find tennis courts, a riding-stable (boxes for horses can be rented in the village itself), a newly reopened spa, a lot of in- and outdoor baths and in- and outdoor minigolfing.
Just note, that there is no reason for not visiting the „Forelle“ even if you’re no friend of Trennkost, but wish to have a real gourmet dinner. The offered meals are real excellent. Especially striking is the fact that there are offered at least 10 various preparations of trouts, and the exclusively offered beef dishes.
While you can have the gormandize offers at any time you want, there is a need to make reservations for the Trennkost lump-sumps, which only take place for a minimum of 4 persons.

In the daily newspaper Freie Presse the „Forelle“ is being presented on the 5th of June in 1997 under the following heading:
Parkrestaurant „Forelle“ in Blauenthal: The cookery deserves highest appreciation
.....without delay the friendly waitress brought the extensive bill of fare, and almost as quickly we could taste the good Wernesgrüner beer (0,3l = DM 3.--). Being in the „Forelle“ we naturally choose one of the eleven different trout dishes, i.e. fillet of trout with shrimps and herbs in garlicsauce accompanied by egg-rice (DM 20.--). Our second choice was a dish called „Holzfällerteller“, going with baked potatoes, ham, egg, herring, tomatoes, sour cucumber and sheep-cheese with onions (DM 14.--). Both dishes, which were quickly prepared, did very much satisfy. We couldn’t have chosen better. It was quite the same with the ordered salad of the season (DM 6.50). We nearly couldn’t eat all because of the voluptuous main dishes. The potatoesalad alone, which was prepared with melted bacon, would have been enough to feed a hungry person.

The „Forelle“ lies in the idyllic valley of the Große Bockau at the foot of the Auersberg ( 1019m) , a hundred meters off the B 283. The hotel is surrounded by forests. Inside there are very spaceous rooms and suites furnished in Laura-Ashlea-style, non-smoker-rooms, different public rooms and an extensive library. Round the houses you will find a lot of flowers in the garden and peaceful corners for a comfortable rest in the wide-spread parc.
The offer and the price:
4 nights in a doubleroom with WC, shower, full pension (Trennkost), 1x Sauna, 1x picnicbasket (Trennkost), 1 theoretical or practical cooking demonstration together with new recipes, 1 x introduction of Trennkost.
You may rent a toboggan, your clothing may be washed, you are invited to visit the swimmingpool in Eibenstock, and you may play minigolf.
The following possibilities for sportive exercises or cultural life exist in the surrounding:
Riding-stable, concerts, museums, guided walks, excursion into the wood to look for mushrooms, wandering by foot and ski just right off the hotel.
